研究人员与波士顿及佛罗里达州相关社区合作开发交互式网页工具，降低使用复杂地理和洪水数据的门槛，同时探索人工智能辅助展示未来风险的方式。另一部分工作关注能源设施布局：模型不仅看某地平均风速高不高，也考察不同地区的风能与太阳能在一天中能否互补。研究指出，气候变化与能源结构调整正在同时作用于电网，单独优化某个指标可能忽略系统协作。项目的重点是把科学数据带入具体规划流程，帮助工作人员比较方案。模型展示的是不同条件下的可能情景，实际决策仍需结合当地资料、设施状况和社区需求。
